good thoughts....

In return for the tired nightmare weekend...

Tell me something cool, wonderful, or interesting about your weekend! Small, big, no matter. Just tell.

While [livejournal.com profile] hanov3r and I were enjoying the walk back to our hotel room from the restaurant in Leesburg, a free summer concert was taking place in the town square. I sat down and chanted "Play a cover song" *AND* the musician played a cover of Oasis's Wonderwall.

I was quite pleased, and [livejournal.com profile] hanov3r turned to me and said sometimes you scare me.
ext_3450: readhead in a tophat. She looks vaguely like I might, were I young and pretty. (joy by underwaterfairy)

said sometimes you scare me

We were in a German restaurant and they had an accordian player. They called for requests. My goofus husband held his lit lighter over his head and shouted "Freebird!" and we all rolled our eyes at him.

The fellow on stage played Freebird. On the accordian. Yep.

Huge applause when he finished and we sent the boy up to drop a fiver in the tip stein.

My "Play a cover song" was chanted under my breath to where only myself and [livejournal.com profile] hanov3r could hear it. At the Georgia Renaissance Festival several years ago Offutt the Minstrel (Andy Offutt Erwin) asked for requests for him to whistle (he's an outstanding whistler), someone shouted Freebird, and he obliged.
