Things I have learned today:

1) Penicillin, when given in sufficient dosage to help destroy a jaw infection, is far more than the blood stream can accomodate.
2) Kidneys are excellent filters, and remove chemicals from the blood when necessary.
3) Penicillin has a somewhat distinctive odor.
4) Women don't talk to each other when standing at a urinal.

#4 comes courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] elfgirl, who was rather surprised that men have no problem talking about any old thing that wafts up and assaults their noses while in the bathroom, especially if it is unexpected. She related this to me after I told her about my day.

Agh! No talking in the bathroom!

I've always found it odd that people can do that because I generally can't. I have a hard enough time just dealing with people being around, having to talk to them too is just too much. Now once started, I may be able to continue and talk, but not always. And believe me, it is really annoying to get stuck mid-wee and have a hard time restarting.

Speaking of distinctive odor, I noticed that when I have coffee the odor is markedly different.

why would multiple women stand at a single urinal? that doesn't make any sense. one woman for each urinal maybe, if their bathroom was being cleaned or they walked into the wrong one and it didn't seem worth the effort to correct their mistake or they were feeling rebellious. but all of them at the same urinal? why, that's just silly.
