We had a fun weekend -- I drove to Athens to install a computer for a plastic injection molding company. Nice folks - very centered. Had to get up at 5:00 and leave at 5:30 to be all the way up there by 8:00, and the idiots in Chattanooga had half of I-75 blocked off with construction, but I made it anyway.
The install took 2 hours. The configuration took 1 hour. The waiting while we figured out if we had everything, and the testing, and the retesting, and the printing, and the finding all the printers, and the wondering why the switch room on the other end of the building was powered off, took close to eight hours... So, I was there from 8:00am to 8:45pm. Then, a long drive home....
Wifetype had ordered chinese, because I wasn't there to complain that we shouldn't order out when she could be cooking and saving money....
So, when I got home, she dished out a plate. I'd have fussed, but she gave me food. I'm pragmatic that way.
Sunday, I got up for services, and left the wifeperson in bed, because the kidlets were NOT helpful (one got up and got in bed with us and had to be kicked out around 3ish, the other woke up about 3ish and stayed up until about 5ish). Got home, cleaned up a bit, and got ready for gaming.
Good game. Players figured out good stuff, got good stuff, furthered the plot, and most of the players tried to stay awake for most of it. And, if the youngest player's grades are up this term, she can return to to the game, so this will be the last NPC weekend for me, too.
Took
melonaise, who is one of my gamers, over to see
hugs because he had access to a good sale on computer and electronics equipment. Didn't get what I wanted for me, but got something for the house -- a new DVD player, that should allow my sister to buy off my old one so she finally gets in to the DVD age.
And, today?
Today I am preoccupied with Database Management Theory, for some odd reason. Must be something I saw left in my passenger side floorboard.
