Sorry for the outage there -- was off doing stuff, and you know how that goes....

We enjoyed games night. Check out new attendee

madmexican for a picture of the event (he brought his lady, who was hiding behind the camera), and we hope he'll come back soon! The gift of beer and pie was wonderful, but not necessary outside of a roleplaying games day, but the thought was good. And, he helped build our new cabinet for DVDs, which was on sale at our discount furniture place. Thus the gift of Birthday goodness from myself to da

elfgirl and her to me for our mutual birthdays has been installed.

Stupid git gave me stuff ANYWAY at my birthday event on the 2th, though. I've gotta talk to that girl about overspending on things.

Oh, and about the 2th -- went to a really interesting combo Chinese/Thai/Japanese place in Buford Ga. We went into the MoMoYa section for the grill, but because it was combo I got to enjoy Thai tea with my meal. Oh, that was worth the difference in style from my favorite establishment (Sapporo, in East Cobb). Got cake, had shrimp thrown at me, and we avoided the fire tricks to keep the firfey from screeching. She hates fire.

So, forward to last night, where we had a nice evening with the lovely

wisteria_ who brought over fixings for burgers (I cooked). We went out on the back deck to light some of our sparklers, and a few cute fireworks, when it seemed to leak into the firfey's head that part of the word "firework" is .....FIRE..... I think it was the whistling chaser in the yard that did her in. So, she watched from inside, and we played a bit. Sent some sparklers on with

wisteria_ so she could continue the goodness through today. I may get the firfey an extinguisher for her birthday....

We were set to attend a big soiree with

greenabina and

ssmouse but the firfey wasn't feeling up to it, and she's technically still contageous so we're trying to be good about limiting her infectability. Which sucks, because I wanted to get out and have a good lunch with friends, myself, instead of mow my yard and watch Hamtaro on the TiVo. Woo. Oh, look. There it starts again. GET THESE HAMSTERS OUT OF MY BRAIN.

Now, we have some light shopping to do, and then to home and bed to prepare for tomorrow, and RPG day. When last we left, the players were watching an assassination attempt on an avatar. Hm....whatever will they do? Something player character like, I'm guessing.
