Buy gas now, and don't drive more than necessary. If you DO go, fill up while out, even if only a gallon or two, until prices start sliding. The $3 gallon you buy today will be cheaper than the $3.50 one tomorrow.
We're talking through telecommuting here. Might be possible for one or two days a week. Check with your employers if it is plausible for you.
And, when everything goes back to normal, consider keeping your new habits and help to save fuel and reduce our dependency on foreign oil.
