.....no fair.

melonaise just dropped in for a visit, and after an exchange of gifts, a visit to the tomato patch, and a discussion of costumes for D*C, she had to leave. And, she's on a family visit, so she only managed to fit us in at the last minute before she heads back home. I love having guests, but I am reminded of just how far away she, and myb0y are. He's away from home, too, on a work assignment, and feeling the pain of midwestern isolation. We almost had him on a stopover, but things didn't work out.

All that to say I'm reminded just how far away my chosen family lives, and that distance sucks.

At least Rachel Ray is interesting tonight -- she's doing the $40/day show in Asheville, NC, which is kinda cool.
