Late night musings....

the chief end of man.....
is almost at an end.
An ending without a beginning.
Begging for release from nothingness
To be swallowed up by burdens of today
As if to say
enlightenment is too much a burden
please make it go away.
And, it is. But....
it is a joy to be carried
empty into the darkness
not for the sake of joy, but as a result
of the greater overcoming the lesser
....a sensible struggle.....
beyond the abilities of those
that find the choice of what to eat
consumes more than the choice
not to.
