I don't know how many trick-or-treaters we had. I didn't walk the children around. I wasn't even home. I was taking my classes, and watching people wander around campus in costume. I kinda feel like I missed the holiday, for the most part.

But, there is something different -- things are shifting, albeit slower than normal, and the introspection season is coming to a close. Nothing amazing, nothing earth-shattering, nothing that says "wrong path -- jump ship!" Things are not so bad.

So....

....happy New Year(1)! Time to clean out the garage and fill a few trashbins, I think.

(1)Celtic New Year. A funny thing happens this time of year -- November marks the start of the Celtic new year, December the start of the Western Christian Liturgical Calendar, and January the start of the Gregorian year. Add in a Chinese New Year, Eastern Christian New Year, Jewish New Year, Islamic New Year, etc, and you're always on the verge of a new beginning. So, take that opportunity, and make it your own!
