The weekend so far....

Got weird, but possibly good, news on Friday. Came home to da munchkin vanishing to spend a night with a friend on the far side of the county. Good for her!

Saturday, had the crawl, and had a grand time getting out with cool people that like rice. Yay! Watch the storms come in, and wander off. Accidentally shut down my laptop instead of hibernating it, but that's okay. I got over it.

Sunday, got up early to check the weather, and da elf decided we could go to the Ga Renn Fest. Nice idea, in theory, but it got cold and colder as we were there. We left early because, well, cold! Saw ann_mcn and lasarigue doing their thing, which was cool. And, I was gorgeous, of course! No pics, strangely enough. Will have to fix that next time.

Had tea at the Peacock room while there, but did our dinner at Wolfgang Puck's express place in Buckhead. Very good food, but we've sapped the budget for eating out until May. That's okay, though, as I get a free dinner this upcoming Friday. Should be an interesting week.

Do you think you will go again to the Renn Fest before it ends? I'm thinking I'd like to go and I'm not comfortable enough to go alone, not yet.

Mid-May? Ah, well. Have to work Mother's Day weekend (no one gets off without a VERY GOOD EXCUSE, according to the request sheet) and I have a bridal shower the next weekend.

Too bad they don't run the thing during the week...

Not even for Mother's Day, itself? Seems that'd be late enough they'd want you go to spend time with family....

Memorial Day weekend is a three day show for the Renn Faire....

The owner likes the cash more than she likes the idea of us spending time with our mothers. I'll be off the previous weekend for the celebration and LMF's graduation, so I'm pretty sure I'll be on the clock the day of.

Memorial Day? Who knows.
