Sep. 3rd, 2003 09:15 amI was up EARLY for a change at our offsite location. Had to put in a new adapter card in one of the major computers.
The documentation I was given, approved by all the executives and technical people above me, had no provision to dodge access to the machine during the outage. So, I had to do an unscheduled change that I "backed out" when it was done, just to keep users away so I could work in peace. I could have bounced the change, but that's always annoying.... either way I have to do paperwork because someone else didn't, so I might as well get the change done.
And, the computer is now reporting power issues... oh, won't that be fun if it isn't a glitch.
And, after work today I go meet a client about evening work opportunities. I'm apparently the only one on their list, which makes negiotiation a little easier....
