Last night I checked the food bowl to make sure there was enough cat food out. If elfgirl doesn't manage the strength to take all this stuff away....

On a better note, I'm awake. Wait... that's not better.....

My feet still hurt from all the standing I did this past weekend, so I need to work on that. I will do so by sitting down a lot.

I want to smell salt in the air on a cool breeze across the fields of Connemara. Must be a day ending in Y again.

James Herriot said his best advice to pet owners who'd lost an animal was to get a new pet right away. Not as a replacement -- pets can never be replaced -- but as a comfort. We get used to having that sweet, unconditional love and understanding, and when our pet dies we automatically look for it... to find it's not there.

Cat Clinic of Cobb has some kittens ready for adoption. There's a sweet, fluffy orange tabby that I think has your name on it.

I have children that give love and understanding. I just miss the furry love. But, with asthma in the rest of the family, we're going to wait for a bit and let the air settle down.
