I'm not studying right now. My brain is full.
So.... I'm going to dump a little bit out....
You probably think this post is about you. It's been forever since I heard from you, and things have changed a lot in that time. It is obvious that the world can't be the same as it was, and that's for the best. New days, new opportunities, new vistas await. Cane sugar candy is the best, anyway. Where does Jesus stand on dice? The three, I think. A big dry-erase board would probably tempt people to visit, but would the room be big enough or clean enough? Rubber chickens threaten the Millenium falcon, and Han Solo looks like an iPod shuffle. My briefcase was full of beans, but I ate 'em. What good is a teapot full of leather? Is leather better than a lot of cotton? What about even more blend fabrics? Should I try to stay hidden in a burning building? Is there any better aid to power than that of vital salts in sugar water? What pirate do I look the most like, these days? I can't seem to see the point of an eraser. Three more times through, and a kick ass paper, and maybe I'll be able to go walkies. Who is more foolish, the fool, or the fools that voted him into power? Is Toronto nicer than Detroit, on a scale of Cauliflower to Beignets?
What question have you always wanted to ask me, and are willing to own up to in comments?

Date: 2005-08-02 07:37 pm (UTC)Er.... well, I tend NOT to relate to people. People are a problem, you see. I try, but I find that I haven't yet developed a reasonable sense of common points of reference. I try, and I use long-winded analogy to illustrate things (often boring my audience) to work towards that common ground, but I'm grasping at straws most of the time.
The best way to deal with unsureness is to figure out why you are unsure. Be true to yourself, first, and once you are sure of what that is, the way to respond becomes clear. Don't spend too much time trying to figure out the subtext of things, and you'll be more like me.
Which is to say, people won't like you overmuch, and you'll be both over the top and excessively stoic. But, that's the way of things, if you think my advice is of any use.
So.... you going to flirt with me at D*C? It's not cute being this easy, you know....
