Today, the world is darker than I would like. I've gotten sad news from elfgirl about a friend of hers, and melonaise is about to return home after a far-too-brief visit. I feel the losses all around. It's strong enough that I won't benefit from some of what I had planned for this morning, so I'm going to be a bit more relaxed instead.

Got to meet cool people this weekend, so that helps, and I did get to spend a good bit of it with my girlfriend, which balances things somewhat. Even so, Monday is going to suck. Apparently I didn't win the lottery again.

actually very nice, got to spend time with daughter who gave me a very nice Easter basket of goodies. went to church to a baptism of a little boy 9 days younger than my youngest great nephew and got to hold him and send thoughts to the nephew I haven't seen yet, went to son's house for a delicious dinner. good conversation even if most of it was mine, a help at that. met a really nice coworker of son's and got my computer back and best of all the little girl grandchild shared a white candy egg with me since she knows I like them best.
