Graduation

Graduation is at Southern Polytechnic State University on Saturday, 2pm, but arrive early if you want seats.
I'll be there at 1pm to get in the line and get all my stuff done.
I've been asked what I want for graduation. I was told I'd get a car, but that was ...er.... 18 years ago, and I've gotten a car cosigned and bought and a second one bought since then, plus a minivan, so....
What do I want? I want an MP3/CD player for my car. I want a suit (I've not had one in about five years or so, since I got larger and didn't see the need). I want a portable MP3 player (Samsung YEPP, specifically, which I've picked out already). I want some woodworking tools (router, small circular saw, hand sander, etc) and a kit from Home Depot has a few together so that's cool. I want two dogwoods and about 20 azeleas for the back yard.
What I REALLY think would be nice is a babysitter for a weekend, about $500, and time to take my wife away someplace nice. Biltmore House, maybe. Or a B&B that doesn't have seperate beds (for our honeymoon we got seperate twin beds -- and, no, you really can't fit two people in one twin bed, even when you try). Maybe Disney. Maybe.... Ireland again, over a really long weekend. Just fly in to Shannon, stay in Moher, then come home.
I don't know what I want, really. It's too unreal. What is graduation? I've never been here before... I've been in college as long as I was in school before that, and it's weird thinking about not being in classes for a while.
Am I really this old?

Oh, yes, I remember. Basement of Park hall, in on the left, prof gave me an A for style on a comparison/contrast paper, then an F for content, just because I compared and contrasted Robert Frost's "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" with a Lemon Meringue Pie. Bastage.
Taught me an important lesson. It matters not what you know, but what you can parrot back to the prof.
