Graduation is at Southern Polytechnic State University on Saturday, 2pm, but arrive early if you want seats.

I'll be there at 1pm to get in the line and get all my stuff done.

I've been asked what I want for graduation. I was told I'd get a car, but that was ...er.... 18 years ago, and I've gotten a car cosigned and bought and a second one bought since then, plus a minivan, so....

What do I want? I want an MP3/CD player for my car. I want a suit (I've not had one in about five years or so, since I got larger and didn't see the need). I want a portable MP3 player (Samsung YEPP, specifically, which I've picked out already). I want some woodworking tools (router, small circular saw, hand sander, etc) and a kit from Home Depot has a few together so that's cool. I want two dogwoods and about 20 azeleas for the back yard.

What I REALLY think would be nice is a babysitter for a weekend, about $500, and time to take my wife away someplace nice. Biltmore House, maybe. Or a B&B that doesn't have seperate beds (for our honeymoon we got seperate twin beds -- and, no, you really can't fit two people in one twin bed, even when you try). Maybe Disney. Maybe.... Ireland again, over a really long weekend. Just fly in to Shannon, stay in Moher, then come home.

I don't know what I want, really. It's too unreal. What is graduation? I've never been here before... I've been in college as long as I was in school before that, and it's weird thinking about not being in classes for a while.

Am I really this old?

[livejournal.com profile] gwinna and I fit just fine on a twin bed! So did Boy and I, for that matter. But it does take a lot of getting used to, and much easier having me as one of those people, because back then I was more accustomed to sleeping on an even slimmer couch.

Congratulations!

Are you graduating with a BS or MS degree?

Oh, I'm not surprise. If you're working, have a family to take care, and at the same time going to school, that is understandable. You're not the only one. But anyway, I'm sooooooo happy for you! *cheers*

Congrats...

I remember that whole "omgid what am I going to do with out school" feeling.

Sorta unnerving...

But, you'll get used to it.

*claps.. well tries to*

I would offer to babysit.. but I'm not allowed to anymore... i .. i just don't get it.. i mean people offer you money to baby sit... but when you do it they yell at you when they get back.. sure i thought it was kind of odd for people to offer me money to sit on their baby but who was i to question it??!

Congrats on graduating!!!! 4.0 gpa rocks.... lucky duck... man.. if i went back to school my gpa might be like 0.2.. maybe if i am lucky... oh.. not that isn't cause i am stupid or something... but i guess people actually think a fox isn't smart enough to be in the classes or something and would kick me out... but then i am enrolled so they have to humor me with a just failing grade...

When [livejournal.com profile] dorwrath and I went to England to visit his family, we stayed at his parent's house. All they had in the entire house was single beds, and we got a room with two. We both slept on one of them, as I tend to be sort of afraid of the dark in new places. I slept next to the wall, which the radiator was on. I woke up one morning and thought I had burned the skin off my butt in the night. It was miserable, but also kinda fun, if that makes sense.

Congratulations, Dwiv. What a long strange trip it's been.

You and I were in English 101 together way back then, 18 years ago.
Do you remember that?
