Had a nice date with [livejournal.com profile] yin_again last night. She brought me a shiny! And, no matter what you people think, I have it from herself that she's "not that kind of a guy." I'm glad the surgery went well.

The sushi was good, though I still wonder about those berries/fermented cherries/wtfs that we had. Nice, but unexpected.

Potato-salad sushi (that was the texture! Honest!) is weird.

Brain is hurting today. Been in a few meetings already, and more to come.

Sushi tomorrow! Regular meeting, regular place! Post to follow with map link and all...

Lots to think on, when my head stops hurting.

With the exception of a guest visit, and da elf's busy schedule, I've got nothing planned past Mother's Day until Dragon*Con. The summer is sort of hanging out there as a potential, but with no resolution. Oh for the days I used to just drive out of town after school/work on a Friday, with my tent, to camp somewhere until I had to come back. It's been a long time since then. Stupid responsibilities.

Last thought -- I've seen this in a few places, now.... if the big boycott thing on Monday was, as it seems to be, a show of force of the power of our immigrant hispanic community, maybe it is time to return the favor with a show of force of the citizenry, by not going out to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Yes, it is rude and politically dangerous, but it would really send a message. And, since we went out for Mexican for St. Patrick's Day (because our pub was charging a cover fee), it might be a perfect time to celebrate Puebla's trouncing of the French by having bangers and mash....

::cough:: Well, you were the one wearing the skirt, so I guess someone had to be the guy. Ass.

The berry/cherry/wtfs were good, weren't they?

Good idea! LOL! Mind if I steal it and re-post in my journal?

I know several people who are hitting pubs for May 5 in "protest."

Friday is my boss's birthday. If I go out, I'll celebrate that. And the passing of my final (I hope.)
