Things I have learned today:
1) Penicillin, when given in sufficient dosage to help destroy a jaw infection, is far more than the blood stream can accomodate.
2) Kidneys are excellent filters, and remove chemicals from the blood when necessary.
3) Penicillin has a somewhat distinctive odor.
4) Women don't talk to each other when standing at a urinal.
#4 comes courtesy of
elfgirl, who was rather surprised that men have no problem talking about any old thing that wafts up and assaults their noses while in the bathroom, especially if it is unexpected. She related this to me after I told her about my day.

Date: 2007-01-21 07:13 am (UTC)why would multiple women stand at a single urinal? that doesn't make any sense. one woman for each urinal maybe, if their bathroom was being cleaned or they walked into the wrong one and it didn't seem worth the effort to correct their mistake or they were feeling rebellious. but all of them at the same urinal? why, that's just silly.

Date: 2007-01-25 03:46 pm (UTC)It generated enough weirdness that most modern facilities have individual 'semi-stalls' with 8" horizontal walls, but that doesn't stop people from conversating.... :)
(what? It's a perfectly cromulent word!)
